About Us

Our Story

The Show was opened in August, 2011 by Steve Lomasney, a fifth round draft pick out of Peabody High School whose professional baseball career spanned 12 years with the Red Sox, Orioles, Reds, and Twins.

The Show is a baseball and softball skill development coaching facility. We provide an opportunity for youths to join teams that participate in competitive leagues, tournament teams, and college showcase teams. Our goals for these Showcase teams is to give players the best opportunity to play college level baseball or beyond along with The Show's personal commitment of leveraging our professional network.

The Show offers private lessons and group clinics to participating members and the general public by professional instructors that include a roster of ex-professional ball players. We also provide batting cage and facility rental to the general public and other teams in our 10,000 square foot facility located on the Andover / Lawrence town line, 1 mile from Exit 45 off Route 93.

The Show offers the highest level of coaching and instruction available in New England. All of our teams are coached by professional coaches, and private and group instruction is available by a staff of former professional baseball players. In addition to Steve Lomasney, our staff includes Chad Epperson, currently the catching instructor for the Boston Red Sox minor league system. Our softball program is run by Stephen and Courtney Pilcher.

2013 is the second full season for The Show. We are proud to field 12 baseball and 6 softball teams, including 3 College Showcase teams. Steve Lomasney is proud to use his vast network of college coaches to assist his players in the college recruitment process. In just 2 short years, 16 players from The Show have committed to college programs, 9 at the Division 1 level.

Participants in our baseball and softball AAU program and Showcase teams will be outfitted with top of the line uniforms, helmets and softball players' will also receive bags. Team members can utilize the facility to improve on all aspects of their game.
